Postpartum Doula

someone holding a baby after giving birth

In some parts of the world, the postpartum person is honored, massaged, fed nourishing meals, encouraged to rest & supported by other mothers in the community. Our society misses this important aspect of mothering. Allow us to make it part of your story.

A postpartum doula can provide that support.

What is a postpartum doula?

A postpartum doula offers expert support to the entire family during the transformative postpartum period.

Physical Support

Postpartum doulas assist with daily tasks, allowing you to spend more time bonding with your baby and get some much needed rest. Helping with breastfeeding, soothing techniques, postpartum recovery, and more.

Family Support

Postpartum doulas check in with all members of the family to make sure they have what they need while adjusting to their new roles and routines. This can also include helping members communicate their needs and concerns in a healthy way.

Emotional Support

Being a new parent, or bringing home a new baby, can present many challenges. Postpartum doulas take an empathetic approach to your support, using active listening techniques, and providing a judgement free space where parents will feel empowered and confident.

Informational Support

Postpartum doulas offer evidence-based information and provide referrals so that parents can take that information and make the decisions that are best for their families.
