Brittani Edds

Brittani (she/her) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and longtime Registered Nurse, spending over a decade caring for the pediatric/NICU/women's health population. She owns and operates The Milk Academy, a private practice aimed at supporting infant feeding in the Denver area.

After welcoming her first daughter into the world in 2015, Brittani was catapulted into the world of motherhood and postpartum. Those days were some of the hardest, loneliest, uncertain, and most beautiful times of her life. She struggled with feeding her sweet daughter, and quickly learned how the complexities of infant feeding and mental health were intertwined. After seeking help from an IBCLC, she quickly became drawn to the idea of supporting families through their own feeding struggles.

Brittani loves walking alongside families in their journeys to and through parenthood. Her approach is warm, kind, and driven to empowering families to follow and trust their instincts. She recognizes the honor it is to be invited to work with families in such a joyous and challenging part of their lives.

Brittani specializes in complex feeding scenarios such as clinical low supply, feeding the NICU graduate, bottle refusal, and oral dysfunction. You can find her in the office, sharing a space with the OWN Your Pelvic Health team.

When she isn't geeking out on all things infant feeding, Brittani enjoys spending time in the sunshine, with her husband and two sweet daughters, and drinking all the coffee.
